Greyhound Racing SA

SA BRED WINNERS SCHEME

Below is a rundown on how the SA Bred bonus scheme works:

Each month Greyhound Racing SA makes available a pool of $20,000 for SA Bred greyhounds. Every SA Bred Greyhound that wins a Sky Racing meeting is SA receives $100 from this pool which is divided between the owner and the breeder. If they happen to be the same person then they will receive the full $100.

If, at the end of, a given month there are 100 SA Bred winners throughout the month then $10,000 is paid out of the $20,000. The remaining $10,000 will then be divided between the 100 winners and then paid to the owners. The figure will vary each month depending on SKY Racing winner however Greyhound Racing SA will pay $20,000 each month to SA Bred greyhounds on top of prize money.

For example:

Satanic Cash is one of South Australia’s finest greyhounds and is also SA Bred. Satanic Cash has had a fabulous career winning 32 races from 62 starts, collecting over $150,000 in total stakes for the Isaacson’s. In SA Satanic Cash has had 46 starts for 28 wins and $103,000 in stake money since he started racing in June 2009, with all wins coming at Sky racing venues.

As Satanic Cash is owned and bred by the Isaacson’s each win they have in SA at a SKY racing venue will provide them with an extra $100, $50 as the owner and $50 as the breeder. On top of this the Isaacson’s have also received the owners’ monthly bonus which has, on average, been $110 over Satanic Cash’s career.

Therefore on top of prizemoney Satanic Cash has also earned-
28x $100 (SA Bred winning bonus)
28x $110 (SA Owner monthly bonus)
1 x $100 ( Maiden bonus)
Equaling $5900 extra for his owner and breeder.
