Tonight’s Angle Park Greyhound Meeting Cancelled.

This evening’s Angle Park greyhound race meeting is cancelled due to hot weather.

With temperatures expecting to reach up to 43 degrees today, Chairman of Stewards, Mr Paul Marks, in consultation with Greyhound Racing SA’s resident vet, has deemed that it is in the best interest of the dogs and participants that the race meeting is cancelled.

Although adequate housing and track facilities will provide comfortable conditions for the greyhounds at Angle Park , the overriding concern is the discomfort they may experience in transport to and from the track.

A twilight meeting, broadcasted on RadioTAB, will be held at Strathalbyn tomorrow evening, with the first race commencing at 4.33pm .  Greyhound racing at Angle Park will resume as per usual with the next Angle Park race meeting scheduled for Wednesday morning.
