The
GRSA
has
approved
a
change
to
the
2008
Sky
Channel
Adelaide
Cup.
This
follows
support
for
the
new
format
at
last
month’s
ICG
meeting.
Over
the
last
couple
of
years
there
has
been
a
three
race
format
with
a
seeding
system.
Some
greyhounds
that
were
seeded,
elected
to
run
on
only
the
second
and
third
nights
of
the
carnival.
The
new
format
will
see
all
greyhounds
having
to
run
over
the
three
weeks.
The
format
will
be
as
follows:
-
All
greyhounds
will
be
required
to
compete
in
two
races
prior
to
the
Final
i.e.
they
will
be
required
to
compete
on
the
heat
night
and
semi-final
night.
-
On
the
heat
night
the
top
4
seeded
greyhounds
from
interstate
and
top
4
from
-
Interstate
Challenge
is
decreased
to
$10,000
from
$21,500.
-
The
8
greyhounds
that
run
in
the
Challenge
are
seeded
through
to
the
Adelaide
Cup
Semis,
while
the
remaining
24
spots
will
be
determined
by
the
heat
performances.
