PORT PIRIE CUP BRETT LEE COUP

 

Port Pirie announced this week that the have a new sponsor for the Port Pirie Cup. Keith & Tracey Pedrana have donated a free service to Brett Lee to the winner of the Brett Lee Port Pirie Cup. This is a great coup for the club and will add great interest to the feature event which has been moved to early December for this racing season.  

The Cup Final is on Sunday December 3rd and will be covered on Sky Channel, while the heats will be run on Sunday 26th November.  

Brett Lee needs little introduction as he is acknowledged as one of the greats of greyhound racing. The track record holder at Angle Park (28.88) he has already established himself as Australia ’s top sire and stands at a stud fee of $8,800.

 

PORT PIRIE TRAVEL REBATES  

The Port Pirie Club will run another Sky Channel twilight meeting on Sunday 8th October, and nominations will close next week. The Club has announced a $15 travel rebate to each trainer that attends a meeting at Pirie until 30th June next year. 

This includes both their Tab & non-TAB dates.  

It has also been decided to include Maiden heats and Grade 5 heats at the meeting on Sunday week. The Finals of these two series will be run at the following meeting on Sunday October 22nd, with the Finals to be worth $650 each. 
The final prize money breakdown will be first - $435, second - $130, third - $80 and fourth $15. 
Nominations for the heats and all races on the 8th October close next Wednesday at
9.00am .
