2007 THE ADVERTISER INTERSTATE CHALLENGE BOX DRAW

The box draw for the 2007 Advertiser Interstate Challenge was conducted at Angle Park this afternoon. The draw was undertaken by Advertiser Sporting Editor, Peter Dawe and Greyhound Racing Writer Craig Cook in front of GRSA officials. At “Acceptance” time, Madam Lash was scratched from the race and Permability was elevated to the 8 starters. Outfoxed, which is a TOP 24 greyhound for the Adelaide Cup, was included as the local reserve.

This race will be run on Thursday Night (11th January). It will be the first of 3 big nights of the Sky Channel Adelaide Cup run during the MC Chartered Accountants Summer Chasing Carnival.

The box draw is as follows:

As there is one local and one interstate reserve, in the case of a scratching, should an SA greyhound be scratched it will be replaced by the SA reserve; should an interstate greyhound be scratched, it will be replaced by the interstate reserve.  

2007 SKY CHANNEL ADELAIDE CUP PRELUDES

GRSA will run 6 Preludes of the Sky Channel Adelaide Cup on Thursday night, from which eight greyhounds will join the TOP 24 in the heats on Thursday 18th January. Should any of the TOP 24 withdraw prior to the Heats being drawn on Monday 15th, their place will be taken by the next highest qualifier from the Preludes. Reserves for the heats will also be determined by the Preludes.

From the TOP 24 list, 11 greyhounds elected to run next Thursday night. Eight of the greyhounds are drawn in the Interstate Challenge, while Outfoxed and Leprechaun Pace may run trials during the evening.
