MEDIA RELEASE
Thursday
6th
JULY,
2006
Greyhound
Racing
SA
has
launched
a
new
campaign
aimed
at
increasing
wagering
on
greyhound
racing
and
in
particular
local
greyhound
racing.
The
campaign
encourages
punters
to
bet
“AG”,
(Adelaide
Greyhounds),
thus
supporting
the
local
industry
and
returning
the
money
to
the
state.
Launching
the
campaign,
GRSA
Marketing
Manager
Dianne
Dumanovic
said,
“We
wanted
to
bring
the
AG
code
to
life,
make
it
mean
something
to
people
and
demonstrate
that
betting
AG
supports
the
local
greyhound
racing
industry”.
The
AG
code
literally
has
been
brought
to
life
through
tagline
“Ava
Go”,
along
with
the
face
of
the
campaign
and
local
greyhound
ambassador,
who
coincidentally
(or
not)
is
called
“AG”.
An
The
campaign,
which
is
initially
running
for
a
four-week
period
includes
material
in
TAB
outlets,
The
Advertiser,
SKY
Channel
and
5AA.
In
addition,
AG
will
speak
live
on
5AA
with
KG
and
Cornesy
each
Thursday
night
on
his
way
out
to
Angle
Park,
providing
them
with
his
“Grunt
Punt
“
or
hot
tip
for
that
nights
races.
“For
this
campaign
we
are
taking
a
fresh
approach.
In
order
to
increase
our
market
share,
we
need
to
focus
on
boosting
wagering
on
AG
races”,
Ms
Dumanovic
said.
“We
want
South
Australians
to
know
that
a
local
bet
supports
the
local
industry”
“We
believe
people
will
relate
to
‘AG’,
and
his
passion
for
the
dogs
may
remind
them
of
how
thrilling
a
bet
on
the
greyhounds
can
be.”
