2007 SKY CHANNEL ADELAIDE CUP TOP 24 LIST ANNOUNCED

Greyhound Racing South Australia has today finalized the TOP 24 list of seeded greyhounds for the 2007 Sky Channel Adelaide Cup. These greyhounds will be seeded through to the Heats of the Adelaide Cup on Thursday 18^th January. Greyhounds not named in the TOP 24 will be required to compete in the Preludes of the Cup next Thursday 11^th January.

A total of 77 nominations were received at closing time. The Adelaide Cup Selection Panel then met to select the TOP 24 and the invitations for the Interstate Challenge.

 ADVERTISER INTERSTATE CHALLENGE INVITATIONS

The Adelaide Cup Selection Panel has issued invitations to next Thursday night’s Advertiser Interstate Challenge. The race is a Group Three feature on the Australian greyhound calendar and carries prizemoney of $21,500. Conditions for the race have four South Australian greyhounds pitted against four from interstate.

The field won’t be finalized until Monday morning, but the following greyhounds have accepted invitations. Should any of these runners be scratched from the race before the box draw, replacement invitation/s would be issued.

As there is one local and one interstate reserve, in the case of a scratching, should an SA greyhound be scratched it will be replaced by the SA reserve; should an interstate greyhound be scratched, it will be replaced by the interstate reserve.   

The Box Draw will take place at approximately 1.30pm on Monday afternoon.
