GRSA
Officials
visited
the
Port
Pirie
track
last
Friday
to
inspect
the
completed
work
on
the
new
“400”
metre
start.
The
Club
has
installed
the
boxes
just
past
the
finishing
post
and
has
also
widened
the
turn
and
repositioned
the
catching
pen
as
part
of
the
work.
The
Club
has
also
re-conditioned
the
old
“700”
metre
boxes,
which
have
been
moved
to
the
new
starting
position.
Chairman
of
Stewards,
Paul
Marks,
witnessed
a
number
of
trials
from
the
new
412
metre
start
and
following
this
has
issued
approval
for
the
Club
to
begin
racing
from
the
new
position.
Trainers
are
therefore
advised
that
nominations
will
be
taken
for
412
metre
races
for
next
Sunday’s
(June
10th)
Sky
Channel
twilight
meeting.
This
will
include
Maidens,
Graduations
and
Grade
5’s.
Nominations
will
close
on
Wednesday
morning
(6th
June)
with
GRSA
at
9.00am.
