BOTHING
SMASHES
GAWLER
TRACK
RECORD
Bothing
topped
off
her
National
Distance
preparation
with
a
sensational
track
record
performance
at
Gawler
yesterday
(Tuesday).
The
Bosco
Stamenkovic
trained
bitch
stopped
the
clock
at
36.81
seconds
for
the
643
metres,
becoming
the
first
greyhound
to
break
the
37
second
barrier
at
the
state’s
number
two
track.
Previously
the
record
was
held
by
Estella
at
37.23,
so
Bothing
smashed
over
.4
second
off
that
mark.
There
is
no
doubt
that
the
Gawler
track
has
shown
significant
improvement
since
the
recent
upgrade
there,
however
this
should
not
detract
from
her
feat.
Perhaps
a
better
comparison
is
the
record
before
Estella
was
held
by
Explosive
Flash
at
just
over
37.5.
She
was
also
a
top
line
performer
over
the
middle
distance
and
again
puts
a
real
perspective
on
Bothing’s
feat.
Bothing
is
likely
to
start
