The
TOP
24
for
the
2007
Sky
Channel
Adelaide
Cup
will
be
announced
on
Friday
morning,
following
the
meeting
of
the
Adelaide
Cup
Selection
Panel
and
running
of
the
New
Year
Sprint.
The
Panel
will
also
decide
upon
the
invitation
order
for
the
Advertiser
Interstate
Challenge.
Invitations
for
this
race
will
also
be
issued
once
the
TOP
24
has
been
announced.
The
$21,500
Group
3
event
will
be
run
on
Thursday
11th
January
(Cup
Preludes
night).
The
winner
of
the
New
Year
Sprint
on
Thursday
night
will
gain
automatic
selection
for
both
the
TOP
24
and
Challenge,
as
long
as
it
has
been
nominated
for
the
Adelaide
Cup.
Trainers
are
reminded
they
following
the
release
of
the
Top
24,
they
can
elect
not
to
race
on
the
11th,
however
they
will
need
to
scratch
prior
to
the
box
draw
on
Monday
8th
January.
Otherwise
normal
scratching
penalties
will
apply.
