PORT PIRIE LATER START ON SUNDAY

Trainers should please take note that Port Pirie has decided to remain with a later start for it’s meeting this Sunday 10th September. This meeting is a non-TAB fixture and the first race is to be run at 3.30pm , with the last of eight races listed for 5.50pm . The move follows the recent Sunday Sky Channel twilights run by the Club. With the later start to the day meeting, kennelling will take place between 2pm and 3pm .

Nominations for Sunday’s meeting will close tomorrow (Tuesday 5th) at 9.00am with GRSA. The fixture includes Port Pirie’s heat of the Country Cup.

PORT PIRIE NON-TABS TO BE TWILIGHTS

Further to this week’s later start, the Club will amend two further non-TAB meetings to twilight fixtures. The two dates concerned are Sunday 22nd October and Sunday 26th November (Cup Heats). Both dates are currently list as day fixtures.

This means that all Port Pirie meetings up to the end of 2006 will now be run as twilight fixtures, which includes the previously announced Sunday Sky meetings.

The Club will assess these meetings and will make a decision on meetings from January onwards over the coming weeks.
