Each month an outstanding greyhound in SA is awarded the title of being the best performer in its field and is given the title of Greyhound of the month. This is a prestigious award which culminates at the end of the year with an industry event in January, which presents the Award of Excellence for the Greyhound of the Year.
The monthly Greyhounds are selected from an industry selection panel consisting of:
Craig Cook – Journalist, The Advertiser
Vaun Gray – Bookmaker
Ron Johnson – Industry participant/owner
Tom Biddington – Racing Writer, The Advertiser
Peter Damarrell – Bookmaker
Paul Rehmann – Racing Writer, National Greyhound Form
Grant Stewart – Racing Writer, The Greyhound Recorder
