HIGHLIGHTS

 

  • Time Honoured Event.

 

  • Final Prizemoney guaranteed of $15,000.

  • A Bonus of $5,000 is offered for the Produce winner, if it can also win the 2008 Gawler Cup.

 

  • The 2008 Series has been moved back from May to July (Final on 27th).

 

  • Consolation Race with added prizemoney, sponsored by the McLean Family; run at Final meeting.

 

  • A bonus of $500 for the breeder of the winner of the Final.

 

  • SA Bred Bonus; if winner is SA Bred a $1,000 bonus paid to the owner.

 

  • All greyhounds fully paid up for the Series will have a race start (provided they meet all entry requirements).

 

  • A One-off Payment at a discounted rate can be paid to avoid forgetting the later instalments. Or there are 3 instalments in October, December and February.

 

 

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  • The Produce is a Semi-Classic, non penalty Series.

 

  • Open to all greyhounds whelped in 2006, irrespective of where bred or owned.

 

  • A futurity event, and all payments must be made to remain eligible for the Series.

 

  • Each nomination payment must be sent by the owner to reach the Gawler Greyhound Racing Club Inc (“the Club”) by the due closing date. It is the responsibility of the Owner to note each nomination payment date and make sure the correct fee is paid by each closing date. The Club will upon receipt of the first payment nomination, send out the next payment form to owners who have paid their nomination but will not be held responsible for nomination forms not being received under any circumstances. The Owner must also notify the Club of any change in ownership or address.

 

  • Once a nomination payment has been made, it is not refundable under any circumstances.

 

  • Nominations will only be accepted if made on the correct form with correct details and ear brands included.

 

  • The 2008 Series will be run over 531m at Gawler. The Club reserves the right to alter this distance if any alterations are made to the track or if the venue has to be changed for any reason.

 

  • Heats will be run at a race meeting and will be drawn with guards on Owners and Trainers. Guards will depend on the number of runners each Owner or Trainer has entered.

 

  • Greyhounds must have competed in a race or qualifying trial to compete in the Heats.

 

  • Semi-Finalists will be determined as per Greyhound Rules of Racing. Consolation runners will determined by finishing positions in the Semi-Finals, then the Heats as per the aforementioned Rules. Any greyhound which competed in the Heats is eligible for the consolation. 

 

  • In the event of insufficient nominations being received, the Club has the right to run Heats and Final only. The number of Semi-Finals will be determined after the number of heats are known.

 

  • Gawler Greyhound Racing Club reserves the right to alter these conditions.
